March 2015

15th – The Annual SMVG Military Swap Meet. at the Institute Hall, Bridge of Earn, Perthshire, PH2 9RQ. (2 mins off Jct 9, M90) Come along and buy and sell your items of militaria, military vehicle parts and collectables. Military vehicles and exhibits on display. Refreshments available on site in our very own NAAFI. Admission 10am-4pm, adults £1, accompanied under 16’s free.

April 2015

1st onwards – start rebuild of our Light Car Patrol (LCP) WW1 Model T ford, body and mechanicals getting ready for spray, registration and future shows.

26th  –  All owners of historic vehicles were encouraged to take to the roads on the 26th April 2015 to demonstrate how many historic and interesting machines are still on the road today. The Drive It Day initiative orchestrated by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs provides an opportunity for many member clubs to hold events in support of FBHVC’s work, and this event is becoming a major national occasion.

June 2015

June 20th, (Saturday), Stirling Military Show
The event returns to its usual location of the Kings Park, Stirling.

June 21st, (Sunday) Armed Services Appreciation Event – Knockhill Racing Circuit.
The SMVG has been invited to contribute a static vehicle display to this event. Its aimed at showing our armed service personnel an appreciation for the work and sacrifice that they have given over the last few years and beyond and will also collect contributions towards services charities.











Due to current instability in both Egypt and Lybia this expedition is currently on hold until further notice – as soon as we get the clearance again it will be put back on line and new timeline issued
